Norman “Joe” Kennedy, 68, of Milan, passed away Wednesday July 4, 2018, at UnityPoint Health, Trinity Rock Island. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2018, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Ave. , Moline.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to his family. Joe was born on March 8, 1950 in Marshfield, WI, the son of Eileen Rennert and Norman J Kennedy Sr. Joe was raised by Lester Roggenbauer following the early passing of his father.

He married Sharon Strong on April 6, 1974; they divorced in 1996 but remained friends. Joe was a representative at Transitions in Moline. Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved horses.

Survivors include his 4 daughters, Penny Kennedy, Milan, Vanessa Kennedy, Galesburg, April (Ryan) Dove, Milan, and Sara (Curtis) Sullivan, Moline; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 6 siblings, Al Kennedy, Sandro Kennedy, Ronald Roggenbauer, James Roggenbauer, Lester Roggenbauer Jr., and Christina Griffin. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memories may be shared on the tribute wall.
