Joe’s Obituary Joe R Carey, loving husband of the late Betty Carey (Bens) and the late Rita Carey (Kalb). Beloved father of Christa Kelly, Geralyn Hayes, Joe N.Carey (Lisa), and Teri Wortman (Steve). Dear stepfather to Rick (Gwen) Bens, Alan (Maria) Bens, Bruce Bens, and Tony (Amy) Bens.

Grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 13. Joe is survived by his brother Jack Carey and sister Vivian Lamb. A World War II veteran, he was the proud recipient of The Distinguished Flying Cross.

Died May 7, 2019. Age 94. He will receive an honorary military burial and resting place in the Dayton National Cemetery 4400 W.3rd Street Dayton Ohio 45428 on Monday May 13 at 1:30PM.
