Joel’s Obituary Joel L. Serfass, 54 of Walnutport, PA. passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends on Friday, January 4, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital under Lehigh Valley Hospice Care. Born March 18, 1964 in Allentown, he was the son of the late Luther H. Serfass and the late Dolphin J. (Butz) Serfass.

He was the husband of Martha M. (Jerant) Serfass with whom he shared 35 years of marriage this past Oct 8, 2018. A 1982 graduate of Northampton High School he was self-employed running Serfass Lawncare, Walnutport, offering grass cutting and snow removal services for the past 5 years. A life long member of Faith Reformed Church of Christ, Walnutport, PA where he served as Treasurer for the past 38 years.

An avid Phillies Fan and Miami Dolphins Fan. He was always ready for a trip to the Casinos and he enjoyed attending sporting events. Surviving along with his wife Martha are son, Jason Serfass, brother, Gary L. Serfass and wife Cynthia both of Walnutport, PA; Brother-in-law; Robert Eckrode, Northampton, PA, along with nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by sister, Bonnie L. Eckrode in July, 2017. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday January 9, 2019 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA.

18067 with the Rev. Larry Yeakel officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, and on Wednesday January 9, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM both at the funeral home.
