John’s Obituary John J. Domant, 78, of Bowmanstown, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at his home. Born May 3, 1940 in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Charles and Julia (Urbanovitch) Domant, and husband of the late LaVerne (Snyder) Domant. He was an installer and repairman for the former Bell Telephone Company for 33 years, before retiring in 1996.

He served his country honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. John was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Palmerton. He was a Bowmanstown Council Member for 20 years, and a life member, and Financial Secretary for ten years, of the Bowmanstown Fire Company.

John was a Union Representative of the Federal Telephone Workers of Pennsylvania, and on the Palmerton Hospital Board of Directors. He also volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Survivors: He is survived by brother, Joseph Domant and wife Donna of Kingston, PA.

Sister, Margaret Domant of Luzerne. Sister-in-law, Claudia Domant of Lincoln, NE. Many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Domant, and a sister, Marie Proleika. Services: The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071. Services will be on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Palmerton.

Interment will follow at the Parryville Cemetery, Parryville. Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www. schislerfuneralhomes.com.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to St. John Neumann School in care of the funeral home.
