Obituary for Joel Thomas Cook III Joel Thomas Cook III, 33, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, passed away from complications with ALD while surrounded by his loving family on September 30, 2018. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 9am to 11am at Holy Rosary Cartholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 11am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, followed by the burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Joel Cook Jr. and Carrie Champagne Cook; sister, Chantel Cook Harvey and husband Kevin “Poncho”; brother, Brett Cook; grandfather, Louby Joseph Champagne; Godchild, Devin Mikel Harvey; nephew, Koby Mikel Harvey; Godparents, Patty Rhodes and husband Benny, and James Chaisson and wife Vicky; and many loving cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his uncles, Troy Champagne, Bruce Cook, and Michael Cook; grandfather, Joel T. Cook Sr.; grandmothers, Mary Jane Boudreaux Cook and Mary Ann Hebert Champagne. Joel was a Machinist by trade.

He loved having fun, fishing, hunting, riding his four wheeler, and Tunnel Boarding. He loved LSU baseball and the Saints. He will be missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff with Hospice of South Louisiana and the many sitters, aunts, and friends that helped care for him.
