Obituary for John Paul Dion John Paul Dion, 40, a native of and resident of Houma, passed away on November 9, 2018. Visitation will be held Friday, November 16, 2018 from 5pm to 9pm and Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 9am to 11am at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11am at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue, followed by the burial in Rogers Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Tanya Verrett Dion; daughter, Jaylen Dion; father, Paul Dion; mother, Geraldine Dion; sister, Maria Illescas; brothers, Danny Norman, Jimmy (Nikki) Norman, and Joseph (Dena) Bryant; mother in law, Sally Boudreaux and husband Jr.; father in law, Eugene (companion Fawn) Verrett; sister in laws, Brittany (companion Kelvin “T-Lu”) Verrett, Chelsi Boudreaux, and Cheyenne Conklin; Godchildren, Troyd Parfait Jr. and Kasen Verrett; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Kaden Farrell Dion; grandparents, Lena Bryant, Adam Dion, and Victoria Dion; grandfather in law, Norman Breaux. John enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family.
