John Ashley Fluhart-Scott, 42, of Beaufort, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Carteret Health Care. His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Jacob Snider.

Interment will follow at Oceanview Cemetery. John had great artistic ability, he loved to paint and create artwork and he enjoyed playing and listening to music. John loved to fish and especially loved living on the water.

He is survived by his mother, Janese Chunn of Beaufort; sister, Melissa Dianne Jones of Morehead City; nephew, Jeffrey Willis, Jr. of Beaufort; brother, Lee Scott of Morehead City; aunt, Patsy Deese and husband Henry of Morehead City; uncle, Mike Chunn and wife Shanna of Beaufort; and cousin, Brenda Bibbins of Beaufort. He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Scott, II. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Munden Funeral Home.

Flowers are welcome or memorial donations can be sent to Maranatha Pentecostal Holiness Church at 130 Airport Rd. , Beaufort, NC 28516; these funds will help with the funeral expenses for John. Online condolences may be made at www.
