John’s Obituary John Bradley Gonzalez, an Army Medic Veteran, Correctional Sergeant, and devoted husband, father, and friend, died suddenly and unexpectedly at home on January 20, 2019 at the age of 41. John is survived by his wife Victoria; children, Hayden Bruno (13) and Kazi Bree (7); father Juan Gonzalez; cousins who were more like siblings: Michael, Melissa, Marty, and Tommy; half-brother Kalani; half-sister Denise; and many other uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. John was born in Frankfurt, Germany on an Army base to Juan Gonzalez and Elida Garcia on June 5, 1977.

He graduated from San Diego High School in 1996. After graduation he joined the Army and served as an Army Medic from 1996-2000. John attended STVT and graduated in 2010 with Summa Cum Laude honors from the welding program and practiced as a welder until 2014.

At the time of his death, John was working for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a Correctional Sergeant. John met his wife Victoria in 2002 and they married on May 22, 2009. Together they welcomed their beloved children Hayden and Kazi Bree, who were the most important part of John’s life.

He will always be loved and remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, family member, and friend. We will all miss his larger than life smile, his generosity, his willingness to help, his amazing creativity and artistic abilities, and his selfless love for others. We love you more John.

Our world will never be the same. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home, 5921 Yorktown Blvd. , Corpus Christi, TX 78414.

Following shortly after, at 8:00 p.m., friends and family will be celebrating John’s life at Recio’s Smokehouse, 5526 Old Brownsville Rd. , Corpus Christi, TX 78417. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., February 8, 2019 at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 I-37 Access Rd.
