Obituary for John C. Benson, Jr. John C. Benson, Jr. of Doylestown, PA passed away in the Pine Run Health Center, Doylestown, PA on Friday, November 30, 2018. He was 85. Born in Philadelphia to the late John C. and Gertrude (Sproul) Benson, John resided in Buckingham, PA for 40 years, before moving to the Pine Run Community in 2016.

John was the former owner of Stewart Homes of Buckingham, PA for 15 years and later was employed as a building inspector and zoning officer with Buckingham Township for over 10 years. He was actively involved with Doylestown United Methodist Church since 1977 and served as a Trustee and member of the Building Committee. He was a former US Army Veteran; Cub Scout Master and Scout Master; and a Civil War enthusiast.

He was the beloved husband of 63 years to Norma (Carr) Benson; devoted father of John S. Benson, Esq. and wife Carol Benson, Esq. ; loving grandfather of Jack and Carter Benson; dear brother of Jane Glass and late husband Bart.

A memorial service will be held at Doylestown United Methodist Church, 320 East Swamp Road, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Thursday, December 6th at 12 Noon. The family will receive their friends from 11:00 am – 12 Noon at the church prior to the service. Interment will be private.
