He was a retired Carpenter and attended Grace Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. He was preceded in death by wife, Betty Penny, grandson, Ct Penny, brothers, Herman Penny, Jay Penny and Joe Penny; sisters, Ruth Penny, Ruby Penny and Bernice Penny; parents, James Floyd and May Clairmon Penny, He is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-laws, Clay and Monica Penny, Greg and Stacy Penny and Tim and Cyndi Penny; grand kids, Ashley Sparks, Amberlie Penny, Shelby Allen, Caden Penny, Ryan Suitts, Brooke Penny, Brenna Penny, Paige Penny, Hannah Penny; great grand kids, Hanna Sparks, Major McCoo, Kingston McCoo, Aisten Allen, Hunter Allen, Bella Allen, Conner Penny, Coutlyn Penny, Caisley Penny and Kaydee Thomas; brothers, Phillip Penny and Cecil Penny.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 21st, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Cameron Family Funeral Home 912 Texas Hwy 37 S. Mt. Vernon, Texas 75457. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 22nd, 2019 at Grace Baptist Church of Mt, Vernon 512 Yates St. Mt.

Vernon, Texas 75457 at 2:00 pm, Rev. Tom Campbell conducting, interment will follow at Providence Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Brett Haley, Jay Bailey, Mike Whiteley, Jason Weatherford, David Haley, Chris Orr serving as pallbearers.
