Obituary LaFayette – John Charles Ott, 88, of rural LaFayette, formerly of Brookfield Township, passed away at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018 at his home. John was born on January 21, 1930 in Grand Ridge, in the same home as his father. He is the son of James Oscar and Marie (Steyer) Ott.

He married Marilyn June Thew on November 6, 1955 in Streator. She survives him after almost 63 years of marriage.
