Obituary for John Clifford Dryden John Clifford Dryden, 88, passed away on December 5, 2018. A private service will be held. There will be viewing available for family and friends at Strode Funeral Home, 610 S. Duncan, Stillwater.

John was born August 13, 1930 to Marion Clinton (Jack) Dryden and Dollie Mae (Griffin) Dryden in Stillwater, OK. John married Neva (Joan) Gazaway on January 10, 1964 she preceded him in death on February 26, 2017. John worked for Quapaw and Mid-Continent Concrete Companies for several years until his retirement.

After retiring John and Joan spent time delivering newspapers for the Daily Oklahoman, Tulsa World and Stillwater News Press. They also enjoyed watching the Thunder, Dallas Cowboys and OSU Sports together until her passing. John enjoyed fishing, working on the farm and bowling.

He and Joan bowled several years and numerous leagues at Frontier Lanes where they made many friendships. John spent the last several months of his life living with his younger sister, Rosie Jones. During this time, they did a lot of visiting with family and friends, and keeping the roads hot for the trips to the casino.

We are very grateful and appreciative of the wonderful care she provided for him during this time. John was very proud of being a Mason. He was a member of the Ingalls Glencoe Masonic Lodge No.

128 for the past 68 years. John was predeceased in death by both parents; his wife, Joan Dryden; one daughter, Thelma Ann Fonda, three sisters, Zelma Jardot, Joan Rule and Lorene Olds. John is survived by his two daughters, Sandy (Richard) Baldwin of Stillwater and Shelley Dryden, husband Derek DeGroff also of Stillwater; Four grandchildren, Chelsea Berry (Blake) and Zack Baldwin, all of Stillwater, Rebecca Tumlinson, Cleveland and Lisa Mora of Sand Springs; eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; three sisters, Rosie Jones, Stillwater, Clara Rae Whisenant, Tyler Texas and Mary Ruth Harrison of Moore; several nieces and nephews.
