Obituary for John M. Dick John Martin Dick, Sr. Age 89, passed peacefully on Friday, June 15th. He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne, of 62 years and children, Lorraine M. Butts (beloved husband, George), Joanne M. Goodwin, Belinda M. Brown (Lloyd), beloved son, John M. Dick, Jr., Steven P. Dickson (Denise), Carolyn M. Goodwin, Jennifer M. Braun, Marilyn M. Smith, Robert J. Dickson (Rachel), and Julie M. Brown. He was grandfather ‘Tata’ to his 15 grandchildren: Natalie, George, Samantha, Allison, Madison, Nicole, Anthony, Douglas, Benjamin, Lauren, Ashley, Jack, Matthew, Olivia and David.

He enjoyed his pipe and cigar, listening to the Phillies’ game on his am transistor radio, playing the slots at the casino, and his crossword puzzles. He prided in the vegetable and flower gardens he maintained over the years, and his passion for ice cream was second to his sweet tooth. He worked for Curtis Publishing Company and later started his own painting business until he retired in 1994.

He proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral services at Sacred Heart Church, Clifton Heights, PA on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Visitation at 9:30; Mass at 10:30 am.

Interment at Sts. Peter and Paul, Broomall, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Coatesville Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Rd, Voluntary Service 135, Coatesville, PA 19320.
