John M. Griffin, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018. He was born on October 8, 1939 in Fernandina Beach, FL to the late Malcolm Lassiter Griffin and Helen G. Griffin. He was preceded in death by his brother, Malcolm L. Griffin, Jr.; sisters, Helen Elizabeth Griffin and Patricia Angela Griffin Stores, as well as grandparents, Patrick Kelly and Angelica Acosta Kelly.

John is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine Gregory Griffin; children, Paul Gregory Griffin, Matthew Kyle Griffin, and Andrew Ryan Griffin; grandchildren, Isaac Alexander Griffin, Christopher Richard Griffin, and Katherine Elizabeth Griffin. John attended Florida State University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Advertising and Public Relations. He worked as owner and publisher for Greater Jacksonville Real Estate Guide.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, CHRP 3, Perpetual Adoration Adorer, and Small Community group from St. Catherine’s Church. John enjoyed spending his time working on his wood carvings, listening to music and especially spending time with his family and friends. The family would like to thank the American Cancer Society for the special care given to their loved one, John.

A funeral mass will be held at 11: 00 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1649 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073. Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233 is serving the family.
