Charles D. Redman July 6, 1929 – June 25, 2018 Orange Park, Florida Charles “Chuck” D. Redman, 88, of Orange Park, FL passed away Monday, June 25th, 2018. He was born July 6th, 1929 in Hot Springs, VA to the late Roscoe and Reba Redman. Chuck served our country honorably for 26 years in the United States Navy including serving during the Korean and Vietnam’s Wars.

He entered the military in 1946 as an enlisted airman and at one point, in 1956, was the youngest Chief Petty Officer in the Navy. He was promoted to the Officer ranks and flew P-3’s as a Naval Flight Officer with VP-16 and VP-24. He retired as a Lieutenant Commander in 1973.

After a few years as insurance salesman, he was the owner of Orange Park Exxon until he retired in 2008. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Daryl Redman. He is survived by his sister Karla Joy and Bob Huff.

His brother Gene Redman died in 1998. He is also survived by his children and stepchildren and their spouses and families, Kathy Woldridge, Brenda (Joe) Joyner, Lani (Robert, deceased), Wright, Annette (Tim) Thomas, Bill Redman, Chuck Redman, Steve (Lisa) Chachula and Shelley Tebo. His stepson John Woldridge and daughter Linda Jean Redman preceded him in death.

His grandchildren include Jeanine, Jeffery, Robert, Larissa, April, John, Tavia, Margaret. Alison, David, Richard, Matthew, Autumn, Brittany, Charles, Raeanne, Sarah, Christin, Megan, Paige and Brandon. He is also survived by many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A “Celebration” of Chuck’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 3rd, 2018 in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd. , Orange Park with The Rev. Dan Wolf of Grace Anglican Church celebrant.

Family members will greet friends immediately prior to the service at the funeral home. Please sign the online guestbook.
