GRIFFIN, Paul H., age 87, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton where he had been a patient for one day. He was born March 12, 1931 in Middletown, and lived in the Franklin and Middletown area all his life. He served in the Army air Corps during the Korean War.

Paul was employed in the carpenter shop at A.K. Steel for 40 years. Paul was a member of the American Legion Post 218, the Dingalings Singing Group, and a former member of the Crisis Pregnancy Board and a former Boy Scout Leader. Preceding him in death were his parents, Harvey and Evelyn (Jordan) Griffin; one daughter, Paula; seven brothers, Stanley, Jim, Harold, Orville, John, Bill and Junior; and one sister Betty.

He is survived by his wife of 5 years, Emily Griffin; five children, Norman (Nellie) Griffin, Randy (Jill) Griffin, Catherine (Robert) Peterson, Kayla Cornett and Greg Cornett; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother Harvey (Louise) Griffin; two sisters, Beverly (Ron) Johnson and Barbara Griffin; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Paul on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Franklin First Church of God, 704 S. River St., Franklin, Ohio 45005. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.
