Michael Louis Smith, age 59, was born on May 19, 1959 in Kettering, Ohio. He lived in Dayton, Ohio and passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2019 surrounded by family and friends. He served in the US Army.

He worked as a roofer, remodeled house’s and was an all-around jack of all trades. He was so smart and talented, he could fix anything. He was a mentor to many and was always willing to help others.

Everyone who met him, liked him. He had a heart of gold. He enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing on Lake Erie, telling jokes and working on projects around the house.

Mike is survived by his wife and long time friend of 39 years, Cindy “Goldick” Smith; daughters, Jessica Smith (Terrance) and Brittany Smith (Michael); grandchildren, Devan (Piggy) Smith, Tristan Williams, Beckett Rossi and Michael Williams; sisters, Kelly Longmire and Karen Smith; father, James Smith; mother-in-law, Anita Good; several sister and brother-in-laws; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jacquelyn Smith; sisters, Mary (Punk) Baker and Debbie Gibbs; brother-in-law, Johnny (Batman) Goldick. Celebration of Life Service will be held from 2-4pm Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin St., Middletown, OH with Pastor Todd Wallen officiating.
