John’s Obituary John H. Meek, 72, of Uhrichsville, received his Christmas wish on December 24, 2018. He passed peacefully in his family home. John was born July 15, 1946 in Dennison, the third of five children to the late Lonnie Roscoe Meek, Sr. and Mary Martha (Stull) Meek.

He was a beloved brother to the late Lonnie Meek, Jr. and Mary Meek-Dryden, and to his surviving siblings, Linda Meek-Tewers and Carl Meek. John attended Uhrichsville High School prior to his service in the United States Air Force. He prided himself on the 6 years he served as a jet engine technician.

John earned his retirement while working at Alsco Anaconda. He enjoyed spending his winters in Florida and his summers in Ohio with family. John loved hosting his annual fish fry, playing guitar, fishing, and most of all, quality family time.

One of John’s biggest accomplishments was his family. He loved his children, Robert Meek, Lori (Ralph Kramer) Meek, John Kelly (Angie) Meek, and Mandy Duff, and he was an outstanding grandfather to his 11 grandchildren – John (Lindsey), Nancy (Shane), Josh (Kaitlin), Emily (Mike), Ally (Joe), J.J. (Taylor), Ryley, Bayley, Hunter, Monet and Jordynn, and 4 great-grandchildren – Malachi, Keagan, Natalie and Gracie. He went above and beyond his duties as a grandfather by raising Nancy and Emily as his own daughters.

John was fortunate to find true love for a second time with Linda (Morris) Meek who survives him. He and his family believe she was hand-picked just for him from his beloved late wife, Nancy (Lindon) Meek. John also found his faith and was able to be baptized in his home, surrounded by his family.

He set forth a righteous path for his family to follow. John lived a full and abundant life, filled with love and family. He led his family with courage, faith and high morals.

He lived every day to the fullest no matter the circumstance and leaves behind many loved ones that cherish him more than he could ever know. Above all, he leaves a legacy of faith, family values and hard work that his family will carry on. In keeping with John’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public service.

His family plans a private celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Interim Hospice of Coshocton County. R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home, Inc. (740) 922-1970 www.
