He departed this life January 1, 2019 in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 87 years, 1 month and 26 days. John was a life long resident of Izard County.

He spent his life as a son, brother, uncle and friend. During his working years, John worked at the sawmill and the Melbourne Pool Hall. He is survived by one sister: Mary Vickers; one nephew: Mark Vickers and one niece: Dawn Reinhart all of Brinkley and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Chris Copeland. Memorial service will be Saturday, January 12 beginning at 2 p.m. at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
