Obituary for John Hansen Services for John Hansen, 80, Grand Saline, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday, December 6, 2018, at First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Philip Anderson and Bro. Homer Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Creagleville Cemetery.
Mr. Hansen passed away December 2, 2018 at his home. He was born August 23, 1938 in California to Harry Dalgas & Eva Gardner Hansen. He spent many years in Louisiana, then Jacksonville, before moving to Grand Saline about 37 years ago.
He was a Pastor for 45 years in Nazarene churches and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Grand Saline. Mr. Hansen was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carrol Hansen; and grandson, Chris Hansen. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jean Hansen of Grand Saline; three sons, Mark Hansen and wife Cathy of Grand Saline, Steve Hansen of Grand Saline and David Hansen and wife Twyla of Canton; daughter, Mari Fowler and husband Jerry of Caddo Mills; four brothers, Wayne Hansen of Baltimore, MD, Don Hansen and wife Mary Helen of Bella Vista, AR, Paul Hansen and wife Lou of Rolla, MO, and James Hansen and wife Johnnie of Atlanta, GA; sister, Mary Hodnett of Hiram, GA; sister-in-law, Irene Hansen of Willow Springs, MO; eleven grandchildren, Jeremy Fowler, Caitlin Fowler, Jonathon Hansen, Kalen Hansen, Kaley Hansen, Michael Hansen, Caston Hansen, Brandon Eichel, Haley Tucker, Felicia Jaiteh and Jack Hansen; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
