Obituary for John J. Tarr John J. Tarr, age 63, life long resident of Flat Rock, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Beaumont Hospital in Trenton, Michigan. Born on February 22, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of William and June (Phillips) Tarr. He was employed with the Carpenter’s Union and also self-employed for many years until retiring in 2014.

John was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Flat Rock and Carpenters Union Local # 687. He loved woodworking, gardening, sharing the produce he grew with friends and neighbors. John was blessed with many wonderful friends whom he loved.

John was preceded in death by his parents and a brother William N. Tarr. He is survived by his brothers, Tom (Genita) Tarr of Monroe and brother Daniel (Lisa) Tarr of Fort Mill, SC; sister Sue Hannah Bijarro of Newport; sons, Robert Tarr and Adam Tarr both of TX and daughter Amanda (Brian) Titalow of GA. Friends may visit in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock Chapel on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be held at First Congregational United Church of Christ 26250 E. Huron River Dr. Flat Rock, MI 48134 on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 11:00 am. He will lie instate from 10:00 am until time of service. Rev.

Robin E. Honaker will officiate the service. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the First Congregational United Church of Christ.
