JEFFERSON— John “Jack” W. Castle Jr., age 80, of Jefferson, formerly of Edgerton, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2018, at Alden Estates, Jefferson. He was born in Chicago, IL on Oct.

22, 1938, the son of John W. Castle Sr. and Elinor M. (Buttendorph) Salyer and enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Germany during the Cold War. Jack loved playing cards, especially Poker.

He collected antiques and Native American Artifacts and was into woodworking. John was a former member of St.… Read More » Paul Lutheran Church, Forest Park, IL where he served as a deacon. Jack is survived by 2 sons; Joseph Castle of Williams Bay and Jeff (Michelle) Castle of Milton; 3 grandchildren: Joseph Castle, Angelique Castle and Jayden Castle; and former spouse, Janice Castle.

He was preceded in death by his parents and friend, Kathy. A Celebration of Jack’s Life will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, at APFEL EHLERT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, Edgerton, 315 Lord St., (Hwy 51).
