John Russell James, 62, Brush Valley, died Friday, October 26, 2018, at the Beacon Ridge Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center. The son of Herbert and Betty (Clevenger) James, he was born January 26, 1956 in Indiana, PA. John enjoyed calling Bingo games.

He was a social member of the Homer City Fire Hall and also volunteered at area food pantries. In his younger years, he liked to hunt and fish. Surviving are his sisters, Peggy Timko, Waterman and Diane James, Indiana; a special aunt, Helen Clevenger, Blairsville; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding John in death were his parents. Friends will be received on Monday from 6 to 8 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Burial in the Brush Valley Lutheran Cemetery will be private.
