Obituary for John “JD” Rainwater D. Rainwater of Campbellsville, son of the late Ras Rainwater and Lillian Ford Rainwater, was born February 14, 1928, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 9:29 A.M., Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in Campbellsville. Age: 90 He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

D. was a retired employee of Bourbon Cooperage in Lebanon and was also a farmer and carpenter. He enjoyed gardening, tending to his cattle and spending time with his son, Joe’s, special dog, Katie. He is survived by two sons and two daughters: Johnnie Rainwater and wife, Sherri, Joe Rainwater and wife, Donna and Susan Rainwater of Campbellsville and Patty Mounce and husband, Ricky of Georgetown; ten grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters: Billy Rainwater and wife, Bernice, Lula Mae Bell, Helen Sharp and Barbara Skaggs and husband, Donald of Campbellsville; two sisters-in-law: Agnes Rainwater and Sandy Rainwater of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
