John “John T” Timothy Moore March 12, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook John Timothy “John T” Moore, 46, of Roanoke Rapids died March 12, 2019 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. John was born December 27, 1972 in Halifax County, the son of Marion Leonard and Mary Mizell Moore. John enjoyed fishing; he was employed as a tower painter for Welch Mechanical.

Survivors include his wife, Carrie Phelps Moore; step-son, Patrick Blackham of TN; parents, Marion and Mary Moore of Roanoke Rapids; brother, Marion Leonard Moore, Jr of Roanoke Rapids; half-sister, Sandy Ogburn and husband Mike, of Rocky Mount. He was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 – 7:30 pm Thursday at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.

The funeral service for Mr. Moore will be held at 11:00 am Friday from the graveside at Cedarwood Cemetery, with Pastor Jeremy Kobernat presiding.
