Obituary for John Joseph Keller It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that John Joseph Keller, of Mandeville, LA passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 with his wife and caregiver at his side. He was born on April 12, 1941 in Baltimore, MD to Joseph John Keller and Katharina Morhard Keller. John will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Ruthanne Kennedy Hilker; his children Rosealyn J. Weinstein (Steve) and David W. Keller (Sandy); his step-daughter Heidi Magrath (Bob); eight grandchildren Austin Keller, Trista Keller, Erika Keller, Cary Keller, Kaden Keller, Dayna Weinstein, and Alec Weinstein; and two step-grandchildren Justin and Ryan Magrath.

He is also survived by his brother Erhard G. Keller (Jane) and his adopted half-sister and caregiver Chrsitine Rollins. John is preceded in death by his daughter Barbara Keller, his former wife Mary, and his parents. John was brought up in Baltimore, MD and relocated to Mandeville, LA in 2003.

He graduated from Catonsville High School and Community College. John served as a member of the United States Air Force. In Baltimore, John was a computer analyst for Johns Hopkins Hospital and CSX Railroad.

When John retired and relocated to Mandeville, John spent his time volunteering at Gran’s Attic; he was a member of Pelican Athletic Club’s Young Energetic Seniors and was an Elder at Madisonville Presbyterian Church. He was also an avid bowler and enjoyed riding his bicycle. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA. “God saw He was getting tired, a cure not meant to be, so He wrapped His arms around Him, and whispered come with me”.
