Obituary for John Max Schikschneit John Max Schikschneit of Great Kills, passed away on Tuesday July 10, 2018 at Staten Island University Hospital. John was born and raised in Staten Island. After graduating Port Richmond High School, John proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1971 until 1977.

John worked as a chemical materials manager. In his spare time he enjoyed playing computer games, taking trips to Atlantic City; but his true passion was bowling, a sport that he both enjoyed and excelled at. John is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 43 years Linda (nee Irwin), His daughter Cynthia Leccese and her husband Louis, his beloved granddaughter Elsie, his brothers George, Jimmy and Arthur, and he was pre deceased by his brother Otto.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9PM at the John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc. Religious services will be conducted in the Funeral Home on Friday beginning at 11:00 Am with the Rev,. Garry Squire presiding. Interment will follow in Ocean View Cemetery.
