Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Mr. John O. Holland, 70, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Visitation will be Friday, January 25, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Holland was born in Eaton Rapids, MI. He spent most of his life on the road. Mr. Holland devoted 40 years to driving truck.

When he was not working, he was always riding his motorcycle. Mr. Holland has always been fascinated with motorcycles. He also loved playing pool and spending time with his friends.

Mr. Holland was known to be an amazing family man. He was extremely selfless and always doing his best to help others. Mr. Holland was a member of several biker organizations – The Dream Riders, The Diamondbacks, and The SBC Crew.

He also served in the United States Army serving two tours in Vietnam. Mr. Holland is survived by his wife, Emily Holland of Pontotoc, MS; 7 children; 5 step-children; 22 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Betty (Bud) Potts of Water Valley, MS, Cloeita Haley of Memphis, TN, and Anne Kneeshaw of MI; 3 brothers, Willard (Pat) Holland and David Holland, both of Water Valley, and Robert Earl Holland of Prescott Valley, AZ; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Holland was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Harvey Holland and Jimmie Lou Holland; 2 grandsons, Johnathon Holland and Kristofer Riddell; one great-granddaughter, Averiee Burnett; and one brother, Joe Holland.

In honor of Mr. John Holland’s service to our country, the flag of the United States Army will be flown at Coleman Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left on the Tribute Wall at www. colemanfuneralhome.com.
