Lincoln – John R. “Jack” Bigonette, 88, of Lincoln passed away peacefully Friday, April 27, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Myrna (Kelly) Bigonette, who passed away this past February. Born in Philadelphia, PA, a son of the late Russell and Janet (Roberts) Bigonette, he had lived in Lincoln for the past 48 years.

Mr. Bigonette was an accountant and president of R.N. Koch Jewelry Company, Providence and later worked at Orion and Evolutioneyes, Inc., both in Smithfield before retiring 2 years ago. He was a graduate of Temple University. Jack was a former councilman and former president of the Lincoln Town Council.

He was active in the Lincoln Little League and was a Boy Scout Leader. An avid golfer, he was a member of Kirkbrae Country Club, Lincoln Country Club and Fairlawn Golf Club, all in Lincoln. He was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church, Albion, and served on its finance committee for many years.

He is survived by four daughters, Diane Appleby and her husband, Ted of Holden, MA, Denise Scobee and her husband, Glenn of Eldersburg, MD, Debra Estey and her husband, Russ of Stow, MA, and Teresa Hayden and her husband, Patrick of Lincoln; three sons, John R. Bigonette, Jr. of Lincoln, Robert Bigonette and his wife, Nancy of Fairfield, CT and Michael Bigonette and his wife, Erica of Lincoln; one sister, Joanne Dietch of Los Angeles, CA; eighteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jeanne Golden and Nancy Muller. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 2 at 10 A.M. in St. Ambrose Church, 191 School Street, Albion.

Burial will follow in St. Ambrose Cemetery, Albion. Calling Hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jack’s memory to ALS Association of RI, 2374 Post Road #103, Warwick, RI 02886 or St. Ambrose Church, P. O. Box 67, Albion RI 02802 would be appreciated.
