Obituary for John Richard Leach III John Richard Leach, III 66 of Adelphi, MD After a 6 month battle with cancer, John earned his angel wings Sunday January 13th, 2019 at home in the presence of his sweetheart of 20 plus years as well as his son. He was 66. John was born on April 25th, 1952.
His entire life he was an avid outdoorsman. John excelled in competition shooting. He enjoyed hunting his whole life with his Raptor friends, but especially with his son.
John also enjoyed NASCAR. Later in life he traveled the country, enjoying another great passion, riding his Harley with friends and sweetheart Lisa. Over time John could always be found on the sidelines cheering on his grandkids as they played many different sports over the years.
He was a hard worker who always put others needs in front of his own. You could count on him anytime, even if it was to work on a car or fix up the house. John is survived by his daughter Annette and her husband Tony Oliver, son John and his wife Carrie, sweetheart Lisa, her daughters Niki, Jessica, and Monique, stepson George Kehl, and four grandchildren: Jesse Chick, Sarra Chick, Jayden, and Madison.
He is preceded in death by his mom, Ann Leach, his father, John R. Leach Jr., and also his brothers, Jeff and Michael Leach. The family will receive friends at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, 1212 West Old Liberty Road, Winfield, Maryland 21784 on Saturday January 19th from 10 am-Noon; with a service immediately following at 12 noon.
