Obituary for John Robert Steele John Robert Steele, age 70, a resident of Charleston, passed away Friday morning in a Chattanooga hospital. John was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Ruth Willson Steele. He was a Vietnam War Army Veteran.

He worked for years with T. V. A. as a painter. He retired from Homesteaders Lawn and Garden working as a mechanic. John enjoyed motorcycles and he was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his daughter, Wendy Childers and her husband Richard of Benton, his granddaughters, Ashley Wolf and her husband David, Brittany Childers, his brother, Jack Willson and his wife Kim of Cleveland and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. The Remembrance of Life Memorial Service will be conducted on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 4:00 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with family and friends sharing. Military honors will be given.
