Williamston John Russell Lacy, “Bumble Bee”, age 62, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 in Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC. Mr. Lacy was born in Martin County. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Lacy of Williamston, NC; his mother, Elizabeth Cratch of Williamston, NC; three sons, Rakeem Douglas and John Gattis of Fayetteville, NC and William Gattis of Florida, step-sons, Jimmy Andrews of Connecticut and Roy Dudley of Williamston, NC; two daughters, Lakeiya Farmer of Scotland Neck, NC and Tameka Bowens of Fayetteville, NC, and stepdaughters, Cora Andrews of Connecticut, Linda Solomon and Brenda Powell of Williamston, NC, Hattie Tucker of Connecticut and Telitia Howard of Williamston, NC, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Manson Mortuary in Williamston, NC and on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 12 noon until 1:00 pm on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Manson Mortuary in Williamston, NC. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Manson Mortuary Chapel in Williamston. Interment will follow in Andrews Memorial Park in Williamston, NC.
