John Wayne Jacobs, age 87, of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019. He was born in El Dorado, AR on August 16, 1931. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Crossett.

Mr. Jacobs was an easy going, selfless man who was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed fishing, bird hunting, bowling, reading Western novels and watching the Arkansas Razorbacks. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gerald Jacobs; one sister, Billie Jean Aaron and one stepson, John Marion Carter, Jr

Mr. Jacobs is survived by his wife, Patricia Jacobs; two sons, Forrest “Buddy” Carter (Belinda) and Tommy Hunter, both of Crossett, AR; one daughter, Felecia Outlaw (Michael) of Crossett, AR; one brother, Burle Jacobs; one sister, Pam Aubrey; four grandsons, Joshua Carter, Lucas Carter, Patric Outlaw, Kip Carter; two great grandchildren, Jeffery and Christa Carter and a host of other family members and friends. Funeral services for John Wayne Jacobs is Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Crossett, AR. Visitation is at 1:00pm and Funeral is at 2:00pm with Bro.

Jamie Staley officiating. Interment is in Pinewood Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Josh Carter, Lucas Carter and Patric Outlaw, Tim Stanfield, Adam Rawls and Dickie Gulledge.

Honorary Pallbearers are Tommy Hunter and Mr. Gilmore’s sunday school class at First Baptist Church.
