OBITUARY John William Fuqua Jr. May 11, 1934 – November 25, 2018 John William Fuqua Jr., age 84, of Ocala, Florida passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday November 25, 2018. John was born May 11, 1934 to loving parents John Sr., & Ida Mae Fuqua in Birmingham, Alabama. John was the proud father of four children, all surviving him; his daughter, Torin Perry (Fuqua), his sons Lawrence “Larry” Fuqua, John “Rusty” Fuqua, John William “Jay” Fuqua III.

He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. John is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jean Boyles. During his life John provided for his family by owning and operating Fuqua Sawmill here in Ocala FL.

John was proud of his work and the life he gave his family. Fuqua Sawmill is still owned and operated within the family, now in the hands of his sons Larry and Rusty. John enjoyed sports and spending time with his family.

He celebrated his faith with different churches, especially in the latter part of his life. He was a man who loved his family and loved the Lord. The family will be having a private ceremony to lay John to rest near his family at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
