Obituary for John William Sifford Jr Mr. John William Sifford Jr., 90, of Charlotte, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at his home. He was born August 26, 1927 in Mecklenburg County, NC to the late John W. Sifford, Sr. and Hattie Helton Sifford.

Mr. Sifford proudly served in the US Army during the WWII era. He was employed in the Industrial Supply field over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Jeannine Stack Sifford and his son, John Robert Sifford.

He is survived by his son Darryl William Sifford (Wanda) of Lancaster, SC; Richard Kent Sifford (Merillyn) of Holly Springs, NC; daughter Jacqueline Sifford Ennett , and daughter-in-law Gail Edwards Sifford (John Robert) both of Charlotte; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; as well as his loving and devoted sister and care provider, Doris Jean Sifford of Charlotte. John will be remembered for his many years of hard work, devotion to family, love of reading and enjoyment of good food. A longtime member of Calvary Church, he was an avid student of the Bible.

His deep and abiding faith sustained him during years of declining health. John’s family will receive friends at Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home of Matthews, on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at 11 AM with the Celebration of John’s Life to follow at 12 PM in the funeral chapel. Interment will follow at Magnolia Memorial Gardens at Calvary Church in Charlotte.
