Obituary for Patricia Hedden Wicker Patricia Hedden Wicker, of Monroe Mrs. Wicker, 69, died on October 26, 2015, at Hospice of Union County following a brief illness. She was born September 27, 1946, in Waukegan, Illinois, to Gertrude and B.W. Hedden, Jr. A life-long teacher and learner, Pat received degrees from Mary Baldwin College and the University of South Carolina and served Union County Public Schools for 47 years. She taught at Piedmont, Sun Valley, and Monroe High Schools and was, most recently, an administrative assistant.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents. In addition to her husband, David Wicker, she is survived by her brother, Barry Hedden (Vicki) of Raleigh and nieces, Casey Hedden of San Francisco; Erin Shindermann (Ian) of Pittsburgh and a great nephew, Ethan Shinderman. Other survivors include her aunt and cousins of Knoxville, Carolyn Parker, Cheryl Gann, Carla Parker, and Calvin Parkersburg; cousins Hal Weill (Donna) of Monroe and Ben Abney (Pat) of Tulsa.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Association of the Carolinas, 5970 Fairview Road, Suite 217, Charlotte, NC 287210 www. parkinsonassociation.org/ways-to-give or to the charity of one’s choice. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11AM on October 31, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church in Monroe officiated by Rev.
