Life’s Reflections Johnny Ray Hogg was born January 6, 1955 in Palestine, Texas, the youngest child of Emma Jane Baysinger Hogg. John grew up with five brothers and six sisters.

John was baptized at the New Canaan Baptist Church. He attended Palestine Public Schools until they moved to Dallas where he remained until his early adult years. His mother passed in 1992 and shortly after, he relocated to Connecticut where he remained until his death.

John is preceded in death by his mother, three brothers, James Hogg, Wilmer Hogg and Melvin Hogg; and three sisters, Juanita Smith, Carolyn Jordan and Laura Ellen Richmond. John is survived by two brothers, Frank Hogg and Jake Hogg both of Dallas, TX; three sisters, Alma Faye DeCluette of Dallas, TX: Myrtie Z. (Fred) DeCluette of Lewisville, TX; and Annie Mae (Ronald) DeCluette of Lancaster, TX; one special nephew, Marvin Glover; a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
