Jonathan Glenn Palmer March 06, 1968 – May 13, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Jonathan Glenn Palmer, 51, Elizabethton passed away Monday May 13, 2019 in the Johnson City Medical Center after an extended illness. Born March 6, 1968 in Banner Elk, North Carolina, he had lived his entire life in Carter County. He was a 1986 graduate of Hampton High School.

He was retired due to disability from the South Elizabethton Utility District. He was of the Baptist Faith. He loved to fish and was an avid UT Vol fan.

He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents: Robert & Florence Julian and his Paternal Grandparents: Bruce & Virginia Palmer. Survivors include his parents: Johnny Edward & Mary Elizabeth Julian Palmer. Two Sisters: Johnna Lynne Palmer Craig and Ashley Palmer.

Several aunts & uncles. His special four legged friend: Sadie. Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev.

Dean Presnell and Rev. Jim Perkins officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2019 in the Johnson-Roan View Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers who are Requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Friday will be: Jerry Tipton, Casey Gwyn, Michael Dugger, Jim Wiseman, Kenny Andrews, Rodney Payne, Ray Deloach and Jerry Dale Greene. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Employees of the South Elizabethton Utility District. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Dr. Dulebohn, Dr. Fullagar and Dr. Young and the staff of 2600 Wing, Johnson City Medical Center.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the home of his parents.

Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Friday to go to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www. memorialfcelizabethton.com.
