Joseph Anthony Traub October 15, 1953 – December 22, 2018 Local Florists Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Joseph Traub Gaffney, SC- – Joseph Anthony Traub, 65, of 123 Forest Hills Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center. Born in Mt. Clemens, MI, he was the husband of Jennifer Mathewson Traub and the son of the late Jacob Traub and Germaine (Geronimo) Wylin Traub.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, golfing and had a great love for the Detroit Lions. Mr. Traub was the Executive Vice-President for Suminoe Textiles and a member of First Baptist Church Spartanburg. He furthered cancer research by being a member of clinical trials for multiple myeloma.

He was loved by many family and friends and never met a stranger. In addition to his wife, also surviving are two sons, Trenton Traub and wife, Alysa of San Antonio, TX and Eric Nardiello of Greenville; two brothers, John Traub of Fl. and Julius Traub and wife, Gloria of Port Huron, MI.

; and three grandchildren, Brighton Traub, Graysen Traub and Carsen Traub. Mr. Traub was preceded in death by a brother, James Traub; and a sister, Joyce Ann Abbott. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Blakely Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be announced by Blakely Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Greenville Animal Shelter, 305 Airport Road, Greenville, SC, 29607. The family will be at their respective homes.
