OBITUARY Joseph Frances Brennan October 8, 1948 – November 6, 2018 Joseph Frances Brennan, 70, of Cary, formerly of Philadelphia, PA and Sicklerville, NJ, died Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. Joe was born October 8, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Thomas A. Brennan and Eleanor Marie Nowak Brennan. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was employed with Pep Boys retiring with over 42 years of service.

Joe was an avid golfer and enjoyed participating Doo Wop singing group at the Carolina Preserves. He also enjoyed working with special needs children through New Horizons Church in Apex. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank, James, Jack and Patrick Brennan.

Joe is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia Klein Brennan; son, Shawn Brennan; daughter, Nicole McKenna (Patrick); brother, Robert Brennan; sisters, Eleanor Williams and Eileen Hill; grandchildren, MacKenzie, Connor and Lilo Brennan, and Caesar, Leonardo and Eleanor McKenna. A memorial service will be held 11am Friday, November 9, 2018 at Apex Funeral Home Chapel, 550 W. Williams Street, Apex, NC 27502. The family will receive friends following the service.

Joe’s request was “always keep it in the short grass”. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, American Cancer Society or the Boys and Girls Club of America. Condolences may be sent to www.
