Obituary for Joseph (Joe) Kolonko Joseph (Joe) Kolonko was born on March 4, 1923 and passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018, at the age of 95. He is preceded in death by his parents Peter and Rosalia (Kotara) Kolonko; brothers Leonard, Richard and Peter; sons-in-law’s Felix Psencik, Daniel Mitchell and Larry Leamon. He is survived by his daughters Carolyn Psencik, Phyllis Mitchell, Denise Leamon, Judith Scott and Donna Gann (Michael); sisters Julia Friesenhahn and Christine Slavin; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Dad retired from the San Antonio Independent School District – Burbank High School at 65. After retirement, Dad loved doing jig saw puzzles and watching his western movies. He will be greatly missed.
We thank Vitas Inpatient Hospice Unit for their love and care they shared with our father. Visitation will begin Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. at The Chapel of the Incarnate Word 4503 Broadway St. San Antonio, TX 78209. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church 14011 FM 1346 St. Hedwig, TX 78152.
Interment will follow at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery (St. Hedwig). In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, 4503 Broadway, San Antonio, TX 78209 in his memory.
