Joseph Larry Howell, 76 of Harrisburg, IL passed away at 2:30 a.m., Monday, October 8, 2018, at Harrisburg Medical Center. He was born in Carmi on October 16, 1941 the son of Frank and Maude (Kingston) Howell. Larry had worked as a lab technician caring for animals at Denver Serum Company in Denver, CO.

Larry is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Donald Ridenour of Crossville, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Wayne Howell, Walter Howell, Victor Howell, Maurice Howell, Doyle Howell and Ray Howell and two sisters, Melba Medley and Doris Watson. A graveside funeral and burial service for Joseph Larry Howell, 76, of Harrisburg, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi.

Memorial contributions may be made in Larry’s memory to Crossville Missionary Baptist Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
