Obituary for Joseph P. Arnold Joseph P. Arnold, 89 of Connellsville died Saturday December 8, 2018 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital. He was born December 25, 1928 in Piedmont W.Va. a son of the late Joseph Douglas and Helen McBride Arnold.

Mr. Arnold was a retired machinist for the B&O and PL&E Railroads. He was a veteran of the Army serving during WWII. He was a member of the AmVets, the Connellsville VFW, FO Eagles and the Juniata Sportsmen Club.

He was also a member of the Connellsville Presbyterian Church. He is survived by two children, Donna Arnold of Connellsville and Dan Arnold of Shrewsbury, N.J.; his grandchildren, Courtney Heller and her husband Bryan, Andrew Arnold and his wife Jennifer, Rick Kieta and his companion Theresa, Dave Kieta and his wife Shannon and Katherine McClelland; his great grandchildren,Hannah Heller, Charlotte Arnold, Jack Arnold, David Kieta, Jr., Jacob Kieta, Nico Kieta, Abbie Kieta and Jordyn McClelland and his companion Joanne Ritenour of Normalville. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Daris Hyde Arnold; a son, David Arnold; brothers, Pete and Lester Arnold and sisters Mildred Golder, Wilda Kelly and Irene Duncan, Friends will be received from 2-4,6-8 P.M. Thursday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville where services will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Suzanne Zampella officiating. Military honors will conducted by the Connellsville VFW and American Legion Honor Guard.
