Obituary for Joseph Piliego Joseph Piliego, 88, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Carmel Richmond Health Care & Rehab. Cntr. in Staten Island, New York.

He was born and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, and settled in Eltingville in the early 1970’s. Joseph worked as a compositor for Krengel Rubber Stamp Company for 45 years, retiring in 2005. He was an avid bowler, and for many years went to the former Sunset Lanes, where he was on the father and son league.

Because he was such a great bowler, he was invited to be a contestant on the TV show Bowling For Dollars. Joseph was a also a die hard Mets fan, never missing a game. He had a great sense of humor and was always willing to tell a good joke, and was especially known for his one liners Above all, he was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Patricia. Loving father of Joanne Zabatta, Christine Hickey, William Piliego and Lorine Terlizzi. Dear brother of Richard and the late Theresa DePaola.

Devoted grandfather of John, Joseph, Trisha, Anthony, Nicholas, Christopher, William, Ryan, Michael and the late Elizabeth. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2018, at The John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd.

(at Eltingville Station), Staten Island, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Rd Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
