Joseph Vincent McLay, 86, of Diamond, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019 at his residence. He was born on September 24, 1932 in Pittsburg, the son of Joseph and Mary McLay. He was a member of the Canfield Methodist Church.

Joseph was employed as a carpenter for over 50 years at Local 171, retiring from his duties in 2004. He enjoyed working on old wooden boats. Memories will be carried on by his son Mitch (Karen) McLay of Diamond, daughter Chris (Al Marvin) McLay of Colorado, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

Preceding him in death were his wife Cathy (Hamlin) McLay, son Joseph McClay, and daughter Missy Hammond, brother Dick McClay, and a sister Mary Boyer. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
