Raymond David Kline December 12, 1944 – March 11, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Raymond David Kline, age 76 of Cortland, OH passed away peacefully into eternal rest at his home on Monday, March 11, 2019. He was born on Dec. 12, 1944, in Warren, OH the son of the late James Kline and Laura Josephine (Collins) Kline.

He has lived in Cortland, OH for the past 13 years formerly of Newton Falls, and Lordstown. He graduated from Newton Falls High School in 1964. Ray served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1965-1967 achieving the rank of Staff Sgt.

Raymond worked as a welder at US Gypsum, Republic Steel, and retired from Amweld Building Products in Garrettsville where he was the president of the Union. He was a member of the Lordstown Christian Church for many years. He also was a member of the United Steel Workers (USW) Local 9354, and he was the former president of the Walnut Run Senior Villas Tennant Association where he lived.

Ray loved to go fishing, playing pool, listening to country & gospel music, being around people, and he was loved by all. He is preceded in death by: his parents, his wife: Susie Kellar, 1 daughter: Angela Rae Kline, 1 sister: Sally McCall, 3 brothers: Jimmy, Terry, & Bob Kline. Ray is survived by: 5 daughters: Jody LeMasters of Warren, OH, Nikki & Shawn Lawrence of Mineral Ridge, OH, Paula & Henry Rodgers of Warren, OH, Anna May & Stanley Parrish of Warren,OH, Heather Dyer of Mineral Ridge, OH, 2 sons: John & Julie Kline of Newton Falls, OH, Jason Kren of Mineral Ridge, OH, 1 sister: Georgia & Murrell DeBolt of Newton Falls, OH, 1 brother: Thomas Kline of Newton Falls,OH, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.

Per Raymond’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Monday March 18, 2019 at 1:00pm Calling hours will be from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the funeral home. Ray will be laid to rest with his parents at Newton Falls Cemetery.
