Obituary for Josephine Jaskot Josephine “Josie” (Buczkowska) Jaskot, 98, of Elmwood Park, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 8, 2018. Josie was born in Passaic on March 19, 1920. At age two, she moved with her parents to Poland.

She returned to Passaic when she was 17 years old, moving to Wallington, then Clifton, settling in Elmwood Park in 1954. She worked as an Assembler for Bright Star Industries in Clifton for 30 years retiring in 1975 and was a parishioner of St. Leo’s R.C. Church in Elmwood Park and St. Stanislaus Kostka R.C. Church in Garfield. She was a member of the St. Leo’s Senior Club and Rosary Society, and the Garfield YMCA.

Josie loved baking, gardening, animals (especially dogs) and long walks. She will be remembered for her kindness towards people. She preferred to help people rather than being helped.

Josephine was the beloved wife of the late Stanley Jaskot, devoted mother of Emil Jaskot, of Elmwood Park, loving sister to the late Julian, Stanley, Nellie, Zosia, and Sophie, loving aunt of Roy, Walter, Januch, Carol and Nancy and great aunt to numerous great nieces and nephews.
