Stehling of Fredericksburg, Texas passed away in the Windcrest Nursing & Rehab Center in Fredericksburg, on Sunday, March 17th, 2019 at the age of 92 years. She was born June 3rd, 1926 in Fredericksburg, Texas, the daughter of Joseph J. Stehling and Mary L. Lange Stehling, graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1944, married Charles Moritz, Jr. September 15th, 1947 in Fredericksburg, worked for Market Produce “Turkey Plant” later known as Sunday House Foods, from it’s opening October 12th, 1958 to the day of the fire when was ordered to leave the building because of the fire in October 1999, life member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Moritz, Jr., three brothers, Francis, Alton and Raymond Stehling.

Josephine is survived by the two daughters & spouses, Carolyn & Douglas Seelig of Fredericksburg Lynette & Clifford Kuhlmann of Fredericksburg, grandsons, Stacy & spouse, Catherine & Don Kuhlman, great grandchildren, D.J. Herbort, Paige Kuhlmann, Kole Kuhlman and Kade Kuhlmann, sister in law, Jewel, Mrs. Alton Stehling. Vigil services will be held on Wednesday evening at 6:00 P.M. in the Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, March 21st, 2019 at 2:30 P. M. in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fredericksburg, with Father John Nolan officiating.

Graveside services and interment will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fredericksburg. Those who so desire may make memorial contributions in her memory to the Fredericksburg Vol. Fire Department or E.M.S. and Hill Country Memorial Hospice.

Visitation for Josephine Moritz will be Wednesday afternoon from 5 to 7:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 7:00 A.M. to 2:15 P.M. in the Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg. Arrangements are by the Schaetter Funeral Home Expressions of sympathy may be sent at www. schaetter.com.
