OBITUARY Josephine Treglia October 28, 1928 – December 31, 2018 Josephine Marie Treglia (age 90) of Rocky Hill, originally of Hartford, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2018. Her husband, Vincent, predeceased her in 2014. Jo was the youngest daughter of her parents, Antoni and Mary Carp.

She graduated Hartford Public High School in 1946, and soon afterwards began work at Aetna as a typist. She married Vincent Treglia in 1948, and together they had three children and 66 years of a loving marriage. Her last position at Aetna before she retired was as Contract Drafter for the Employee Benefits Division.

Jo loved her family above all else, but she also enjoyed travelling. She went to Europe and Hawaii many times, as well as to Wisconsin and Florida. In 1969, Jo and her family moved to Tenants Harbor, Maine, returning to Connecticut a year later.

In 2000, “Jo and Vin” built a new home in Coventry and resided there until 2012. Jo is survived by her daughter, Ann M. Treglia (Richard Hess) of Maine; her son, Michael N. Treglia (Denise) of Colchester; her son, Mark A. Treglia of Torrington; her sister-in-law, Evelyn Osborne (David) of Moodus; her brother-in-law, Louis Treglia of Avon and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Her siblings all predeceased her.

The family wishes to acknowledge with deep gratitude the care and support provided by A Caring Hand, Atria, and most recently Brookdale Senior Living. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (January 5) at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish (Corpus Christi Church), 601 Silas Deane Hwy. , Wethersfield.

Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
