Carmen’s Obituary The Reverend Carmen D. Romań, 62, of Hartford, passed away on January 30, 2019. She was born in Maunabo, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Pablo and Eulogia (Martinez) Sanchez. She is survived by her daughter Debora Romań, her four sons Anthony Romań, Benjamin Romań, Alexis Romań and Celio Junior Romań, and her six grandchildren Idealis Romań, Anthony Junior Romań, Eli Roman Lucas Romań, Malik Romań and Nevaeh Romań.

Carmen worked as an RN in hospitals in her youth, with most recently working as a Home Care Service Provider. During her lifetime she served as clergy and full-time co-pastor of, Iglesia Tesalonica, in Hartford, Connecticut. Reverend Carmen D. Roman was an ordained minister within her denomination for twenty-five years, having served faithfully with love alongside her pastors Rev.

Arturo and Carmen D. Madera. She served her faith community with fierce loyalty, love and respect for 32 years. She will be greatly missed and remembered always as a loving mother, grandmother, pastor, loyal friend, and a leader with the utmost sense of integrity.

She lived and passed away with courage and dignity. Surrounded with love, she listened to one of her favorite passages of Scripture, Psalm 23 as she was ushered into her Heavenly Home. Funeral services will begin Tuesday, February 5, 12:00 PM at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield where we will celebrate her life and legacy.

Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours will be from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM prior to the service, at the funeral home. Please click the Guestbook link to share a memory with the family.
